GOGOL BORDELLO DEBUTS NEW ANIMATED MUSIC VIDEO FOR “PALA TUTE” TODAY ON VEVO; CO-HEADLINING TOUR WITH PRIMUS KICKS OFF JULY 29

Gypsy punk rockers Gogol Bordello released a new animated video today on Vevo. Directed by acclaimed Russian video director Aliaksei Tserakhau, the video for their single “Pala Tute” is a mixed media collage blending stop-motion animation and live action with lead singer Eugene Hutz and Gogol Bordello band mate Elizabeth Sun featured as claymation, star-crossed lovers in passing caravans venturing through time and space in re-imagined classic stories ranging from the Garden of Eden to Dracula’s Transylvania. Just released: Warren Haynes Presents: The Benefit Concert Volume 3 (Evil
Teen),’ a recording of a 2001 Christmas Jam show, features Blues Traveler,
Drivin’ N Cryin’ and a previously unrecorded version of Phil Lesh & Friends.
The Mulennium, a 3 disc set of Gov’t Mule’s complete New Year’s Eve
1999-2000 show, will be released Aug 3.

Primus

Influential alternative rock icons Primus are back and have confirmed their first headlining tour in four years. Old friends Gogol Bordello will be joining them on the road playing such venues as the Williamsburg Waterfront in Brooklyn, NY, and the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Aug 12. More dates to come as the band refines their chops before heading into the studio to record their first album of brand new music since 1999′s Antipop. The new album will be released in 2011.

Primus formed in the late ’80s in Northern California, releasing their first album, Suck On This, in 1989. They signed to Caroline Records and released the now classic Frizzle Fry in 1990. As part of the alternative rock explosion of the ’90s, the band signed to Interscope and gave the world some of the biggest records of the decade, including Sailing The Seas Of Cheese, Pork Soda, Tales From The Punchbowl and The Brown Album, had several Billboard top 10 debuts, garnered a Grammy nomination and wrote the internationally loved and enduring theme song for South Park.

A truly honored Ben Harper recently performed what Rolling Stone called a “stirring version” of the Crosby, Stills, Nash song “Ohio” at the MusicCares Person of the Year event honoring Neil Young.

In addition, Ben Harper and Relentless7 served as backing band for several amazing promotional appearances by Ringo Starr in the last several weeks including The Daily Show, The Late Show with Jimmy Fallon, The Jay Leno Show, Artists Den and a very special performance at the Grammy Museum.
