The Twilight Singers will
embark on their first European tour in five years beginning March 18 in London at the Electric Ballroom. Tickets for
most shows go on sale on this week. Dates are still being added and more will be announced in the coming
weeks.
The band will celebrate the launch of their forthcoming album Dynamite Steps (Out in the US on
February 15 and worldwide on February 14) by performing two special shows at Amoeba Music in Los Angeles (Feb
15) and the San Francisco Amoeba Music store (Feb 17) the week of release. These will be the first ever in store
performances for the group.
The following week, The Twilight Singers will return to Jimmy Kimmel Live on February 23rd to perform their
latest single “On The Corner” The song is currently available as a free download at the Sub Pop Records website here.

Time Machine Tour will visit new cities throughout North America and play a few
return engagements beginning March 30 in Ft. Lauderdale and running through April 22 in 2011 with dates in
Greensboro, Nashville, Louisville, Toledo, Hershey, New York’s esteemed Madison Square Garden, Chicago,
Cleveland, Detroit, Hamilton, Montreal and Baltimore. The tour also returns to North America in June with
performances in select markets that will include cities such as New Orleans, Austin, Vancouver and a very special
return play in Los Angeles – more information on these dates and more soon.
Tickets go on sale in select markets beginning December 6 at LiveNation.com. Tickets for the Rush performances
will go on sale in Hershey, Detroit and Baltimore beginning Monday, Dec. 6, with additional on-sales to follow. To

Explosions In The Sky has
confirmed its first headline shows in the UK and Europe since 2008. The 2011 tour will be the band’s first series of
shows anywhere since its four-city 10th anniversary trek in summer 2009.
The first dates to be announced commence May 16 in Dublin, run through May 25 in Amsterdam and include
Explosions’ biggest London headline to date at the 3000-capacity Roundhouse. Tickets for the May 16-25 shows
go on sale November 25.
The world-spanning tour precedes the release of Explosions In The Sky’s eagerly awaited new album, tentatively
slated for a spring 2011 release on Temporary Residence Ltd.

For those wishing perhaps their sat navs had a more distinctive voice than the spookily smooth tones normally associated with the mapping device, here’s something a million miles away.
There’s a British actor called Brian Blessed, whose king-sized stature and voice has been booming out of television screens and from stages for decades.
It appears a Facebook campaign attracted 25,000 people who pressed for the Shakespearian-toned one to record driving instructions with his, well, vast voice and TomTom has released his sat nav recording today (5 November).
Brian’s instructions include gems such as:
“Toll Charge. Give them the exact money and tell them to keep the change” and ”You’ve reached your destination. Congratulations. Onwards and upwards!”
A motorist from Manchester launched a Facebook group to make driving more ‘shouty’, called: “Campaign to get Brian Blessed to do a voice over for my sat nav”.
After more than 25,000 people signed up, TomTom and the actor agreed to record the voice in what is thought to be a first for creating a product through social media.
It’s impossible to get a flavour of Brian’s full vocal range without listening to the great man himself, so here’s a quick clip to show off his sat nav talents.
