A former UNMIK Forensics and Missing Persons Office chief says the Marty report offers a sufficient number of facts for initiation of a criminal investigation. Jose Pablo Baraybar, who first reported about the Kosovo human organ trafficking suspicions, added that the data presented in the report of the special rapporteur of the Council of Europe (CoE) coincided with some of his findings at the time when he worked for the UN mission in Kosovo and Metohija.

Serbia “not required” to give up territory
Oliver Ivanović believes that the recent EP resolution on Serbia “does not require” that the country renounce its southern province. The recommendations concerning Kosovo and Metohija included in the European Parliament (EP) resolution “do not imply” that the European Union has such requirements, said the state secretary for Kosovo.
“No new EU requirements on Kosovo”
Deputy PM Božidar Äelić says the EU would not impose any additional requirements before Serbia regarding Kosovo and Metohija. They would also not condition the country “with any particular outcome” of the forthcoming Belgrade-PriÅ¡tina dialogue, according to him.
Belgrade rejects Kosovo census
The population census scheduled for April by Kosovo institutions is unacceptable for Serbia, the Ministry for Kosovo and Metohija told Tanjug on Thursday. The census should be postponed to the end of the year and the possibility of organizing a regional census should be considered, the ministry said.
“KPS decision political, has no effect”
The Kosovo police (KPS) decision to “ban vehicles wiht new license plates containing the initials of Kosovo municipalities” is political. This is according to State Secretary for Kosovo and Metohija Oliver Ivanović, who also stated on Tuesday that the move will have no effect.
Voting repeated in Kosovo municipalities
Voting was repeated in five municipalities in Kosovo and Metohija where irregularities were reported during the Dec. 12 elections. Beta news agency reports that according to information posted by the Kosovo Election Commission last night, the turnout in Srbica was 58.68 percent, 61.60 percent in Glogovac, 34.59 percent in Decani, 36.36 percent in Mališevo and 53.31 percent in Lipljan.
“Only talks can solve problems in Kosovoâ€
Newly-enthroned Bishop of Raška-Prizren Teodosije has called upon the Serbs to return to Kosovo and stressed that dialogue is the only way to solve problems.
“Conditions for the return of Serbs to Kosovo and Metohija are far from good and there are great difficulties and risks,†he told daily VeÄernje novosti.
Christmas marked in towns in Kosovo
The central celebration of Christmas Eve in Kosovo and Metohija was held in the St. Demetrios Church in Kosovska Mitrovica, northern Kosovo. Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Božidar Äelić, who attended the celebration, pointed out that 2011 will be the year of Serbia’s strong efforts aimed at European integration and fight for Kosovo.
Prosecutor says ex-paramilitary arrested
War Crimes Prosecutor Vladimir VukÄević says one of the main suspects for the war crime in the village of ĆuÅ¡ka in Kosovo and Metohija has been arrested. Zoran Obradović was a member of a paramilitary group called Å akali during the 1999 war. He was arrested in Germany.
Artemije denies plans for new church
The defrocked SPC Bishop Artemije denied that he was planning to set up “a new Church on Kosovo and Metohija”. The newspaper Danas writes that Artemije pointed out the rumors were part of a “media lynch” against him, conducted for months.
Belgrade has Kosovo talks platform and team
The authorities in Belgrade have decided what their platform will be in the dialogue with PriÅ¡tina, that is expected to begin in the coming period. This is according to Belgrade daily Danas, which writes that the platform is based on the Serbian parliament’s resolutions on Kosovo and Metohija (one can be found here).
“Government doesn’t wish to divide Serbs”
Minister for Kosovo and Metohija Goran Bogdanović says that the government will respect Serbs who enter the Kosovo Albanian institutions. This despite its announcement that there were no conditions for Serbs to take part in the December elections, Bogdanović said.
EULEX and increased presence in north
EULEX chief Xavier Bout de Marnhac ended his first visit to Belgrade since assuming the post in Kosovo and Metohija. According to a statement issued by EULEX, he received support from his interlocutors and EU officials.

Oliver Ivanović stated on Monday that the dangerous concept of a “greater Albania” has never ceased to exist. But the state secretary with the Serbian Ministry for Kosovo and Metohija said it can “never materialize because there is no consensus of political powers in the EU and in the world”.
