Serbia defeated Slovenia in an overtime thriller to advance to the European basketball championship final against Spain. The Serbian team triumphed by a score of 96-92, and was led by Miloš Teodosić, who had 32 points.

Hartmann found guilty of contempt of court

The Hague Tribunal has found former prosecution spokeswoman Florence Hartmann guilty of contempt of court and fined her EUR 7,000. Hartmann was accused of revealing details of the Slobodan Milošević case in her recently published book.

Man stabs woman in downtown Belgrade

A man attacked a woman with a knife in central Belgrade this Friday, stabbing his victim. Serbian police (MUP) said that the incident happened at around 14:00 CET on the corner of Kneza Miloša St. and Kralja Aleksadra Blvd.

Serb KPS commander “under investigation”

Kosovo police, KPS, opened an investigation of northern Kosovska Mitrovica station commander Milija MiloÅ¡ević, reports said. “The General Directorate of the KPS has started an evaluation of work of our members in the police station in the north of [Kosovska] Mitrovica, in relation to the actions in BrÄ‘ani in the past several days,” said spokesman Arber Beka, quoted by PriÅ¡tina’s Albanian language daily Koha Ditore.

Police “contact” ex-Đukanović ally

Montenegrin police have contacted Ratko Knežević, who recently accused the country’s PM Milo Đukanović of committing criminal acts. In a series of interviews, the former envoy to Washington and Đukanović’s close associate also pointed the finger at Stanko Subotić, aka Cane, indicted in Serbia for organizing cigarette smuggling operations.

Man who threatened MP, journalist arrested

The prosecution has announced that Siniša Vučinić, who sent death treats to SDU leader and MP Žarko Korać and journalist Miloš Vasić has been arrested. The Third Municipal Public Prosecution in Belgrade proposed on Monday that courts start an investigation of Vučinić and place him in custody.
