Mindjet Extends Mind Maps to Microsoft SharePoint, Salesforce.com

Mindjet, a maker of visual mapping software to improve team collaboration among knowledge workers, is extending to third-party business applications Microsoft SharePoint and Salesforce.com. MindManager for SharePoint lets businesses inject Mindjet’s mind map technology into SharePoint supported Websites, letting individuals and teams render SharePoint content in the interactive idea trees that have lured 1.5 million users to Mindjet. Mindjet’s business application tendrils extend to Salesforce.com, whose sales representatives see list views for accounts and opportunities.

Mindjet MindManager 8 for Mac Integrates with Apple Apps

Messaging and collaboration software maker Mindjet released a new version of its software for Apple’s Mac platform. MindManager 8 for Mac offers several hooks into Microsoft applications in addition to greater ties to native Apple software. MindManager 8 for Mac now integrates with native Mac software, including iCal, Address Book, and iWork. The new iCal integration easily lets users track To Do lists and multiple calendars. Mac users may also create maps in MindManager 8 an open them to edited in MindManager 8 for Windows, as well as Mindjet Catalyst, a SAAS application that injects interactive collaboration into the mind maps.

Mindjet Catalyst Adds Web Conferencing to Visual Mind Maps

With Catalyst, Mindjet added Web conferencing, document and file sharing, and secure online workspaces to its visualization mind maps, fortifying its messaging and collaboration platform. Mindjet also retooled as a SAAS player, offering its Catalyst collaboration software as a cloud computing platform. The move positions Mindjet against Cisco, Microsoft, IBM and fellow upstarts Huddle, Dimdim and Yugma.
