Serbia, Spain sign police agreement

Serbian Interior Minister Ivica Dačić and his Spanish counterpart Perez Rubalcaba signed in Madrid an agreement on police cooperation in order to combat crime. The Serbian Interior Ministry said on Tuesday that Dačić stated “the fight against organized crime is one of the most important fields of cooperation between two countries”.

Serbians, Macedonians to cross border with ID cards

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Ivica Dačić is visiting Macedonia on January 28 and 29.

“Macedonian and Serbian citizens will soon be able to travel across the border with identity cards only, without passports,” he said Friday.

President at top MUP unit ceremony

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Ivica Dačić stated on Sunday that the government had not discussed Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremić’s dismissal.

Serbian Interior Minister Ivica Dacic expects that peace will be preserved in Kosovo after the elections and that dialogue will begin as soon as possible.

Japan to abolish visas for Serbians

Interior Minister Ivica Dačić met on Thurday with Japanese Deputy FM Hishahi Tokunaga and announced that Japan will abolish visas for Serbians in 2011. Japan, Serbia in police cooperation

Serbian and Japanese officials today in Tokyo signed a memorandum on cooperation of the two country’s police forces. Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Ivica Dačić and President of Japan’s National Commission for Public Safety Tomiko Okazaki signed the document.

Interior Minister Ivica Dačić and EULEX mission head Xavier de Marnhac met in Belgrade on Monday, Beta news agency reports. 310 houses unsafe after earthquake

Arrests after Serbia-Montenegro agreement

Interior Minister Ivica Dačić has stated that seven persons have been arrest in Serbia based on the extradition agreement signed between Serbia and Montenegro. Dačić told journalists that during Friday evening and Saturday morning, five persons were arrested in Montenegro based on the same agreement.

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Ivica Dačić arrived on Wednesday on a two-day visit to Moscow.
There he will attend the ninth meeting of the Serbian-Russian Intergovernmental Commission for Trade, Economic and Scientific and Technical Cooperation, the Interior Ministry said in a statement.

MUP adds up cost of unrest, state visits
