Justin Townes Earle: New Album & Tour Dates

FOLLOW-UP TO 2009′S MIDNIGHT AT THE MOVIES OUT SEPTEMBER 14 VIA BLOODSHOT
RECORDS

Justin Townes Earle

Bloodshot Records is pleased to announce the impending release of Harlem River Blues, the third
full-length from
Justin Townes Earle. The
record, in stores September 14, is the much-anticipated follow-up to 2009′s Midnight at
the Movies
.

Compared to the much-lauded Midnight at the Movies, Harlem River Blues is more mature and
increasingly
nuanced, while still embracing the raw voice and clean sound of previous standout tracks like “Mama’s Eyes.”
Featuring guest appearances from Jason Isbell, Bryn Davies and Calexico’s Paul Niehaus, it’s rockin’ and reelin’ at
times, sweet and slow at others – and it’s great. Like good fried chicken, a well-cut suit and a hand made guitar,
there’s heaven to be found in the beautifully crafted simpler things.

Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti: Fall Tour Dates w/ Flaming Lips

TOUR DATES WITH THE FLAMING LIPS, PURO INSTINCT AND MAGIC KIDS

Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti

Ariel Pink’s
Haunted
Graffiti
‘s 4AD debut record, Before Today, consists of twelve tracks
(including the single “Round And Round”) and was released worldwide on June 8th 2010 on
CD, LP and digital
formats.

Six months in the making, Before Today was recorded in part in Encino at the House
of Blues (once Tito
Jackson’s home studio) with Sunny Levine (Quincy Jones’ grandson) and Rik Pekkonen (Bill
Withers, Seals & Crofts,
Bread) as well as at the band’s home studios. The result is a beguiling mix of glam rock,
West Coast funk and
Merseybeat harmonies with a high-production sheen; a contrast to the corroded bedroom
recordings that have
fomented a fervent cult following over the past decade.

The outfit now consists of reclusive pop surrealist Ariel Pink (vocals) alongside
Tim Koh
(bass/vocals), Kenny Gilmore (guitar/vocals) and Aaron Sperske
(drums/vocals).
