First Ship Lease Trust files writ against Daxin Petroleum, its units and officers

First Ship Lease Trust says it has, together with its wholly-owned units FSL-18 and FSL-19, filed a writ of summons in the Supreme Court of Singapore, against Daxin Petroleum, Rovina Shipping Company, Mesino Shipping Company and three individuals who were officers or representatives of Daxin.

Both Rovina and Mesino are affiliated companies of Daxin and were the respective charterers of the vessels Nika I (to be renamed FSL Hamburg) and Verona I (now renamed FSL Singapore).

Russia: 5 militants, 4 police officers killed

At least five militants and four police officers were killed during a police sweep in Russia’s North Caucasus republic of Dagestan on Wednesday.

Four more officers were injured during the operation, which took place in the Kostek village in Dagestan’s Khasavyurt region.
