BLACK ANGELS ANNOUNCE SPRING HEADLINING TOUR


The Black Angels

The Black Angels will be
heading out on a headlining tour this spring in support of their latest release, Phosphene Dream. The tour
will kick off at One Eyed Jacks in New Orleans, LA, on March 31 and conclude with a home state stop in Dallas, TX, at
The Loft on May 21. In between these dates, they will also be performing at their third annual Austin Psych Fest,
which will take place April 29-May 1.

sees Disturbed, Godsmack, & Megadeth joined by Machine Head, Trivium

On July 9 in San Bernardino, CA, Cartoon Network/Adult Swim’s metal cartoon phenomenon Dethklok will perform in
the place of Megadeth, and colossal Bay Area thrash kings Testament will perform in the place of In Flames.
Testament will also perform in the place of In Flames on the July 10 Mountain View, CA date. Megadeth will not be
appearing on the Montreal, QC Heavy MTL date.

Dan Bern

Dan Bern has released some
dozen albums since 1997, while performing everywhere from small clubs to Carnegie Hall. He begins a national tour
on January 19, 2011 that will take him across the country and back, his longest such tour since 2007. Select dates
will include Common Rotation, the Los
Angeles-based trio of multi-instrumentalists with whom Bern has performed and recorded for the past two years.
The tour goes through April 3 in Los Angeles.

Fresh off the heels of 2010′s Live in Los Angeles, Bern will release, Live in New York for
this tour. The two live records include some of his best-loved songs, including “Jerusalem,” “God Said No,” “I’m Not
the Guy” and “Tiger Woods,” as well as a slew of brand new songs and previously live-only material. 2010 also saw
the release of Bern’s first kid’s album, Two Feet Tall. His first-ever Songbook, which has sheet music for 18
of his songs, will be available on the tour as well.

Bass giants Stanley Clarke
and Victor Wooten are
hitting the road together for a tour beginning March 9 in Oklahoma City, OK. The two-week jaunt will see the two
heading through Dallas, Boulder, Aspen, Minneapolis, Ann Arbor, Boston, New York, and more cities before wrapping
up on March 26 at Berks JazzFest in Reading, PA. In 2008, the duo released an album with fellow bass legend Marcus Miller under the name
SMV.

Flaming Lips NYE Webcast

The band will celebrate the New Year by performing their 1999 album The Soft Bulletin in its entirety. The
webcast starts at 10 PM EST on 12/31 and will be rebroadcast on Sunday at 9 PM EST. Rolling Stone and iClips are

Following their widely successful 2010 album Time Bomb, Hawaii’s infectious reggae influenced all-stars

After a brief holiday break, Iration will head back out on the road with good friends Rebelution. The tour kicks off with two
nights at the House of Blues San Diego January 13 and 14 and then heads up the coast before moving east and
wrapping February 5 in Chicago. From there the group will headline an East Coast leg before coming back west to
reunite with Rebelution in Los Angeles for a special show at the historic theater The Wiltern on April 4. The full tour

have announced dates for their 7th Annual Green 17 Tour, which crosses the U.S. from February 8
through March 19 (see dates below). The Green 17 Tour was born in 2004 as a countdown to St Patrick’s Day with a
performance celebration in each city leading to the holiday.

The band is currently in Asheville, NC recording their new album with producer Ryan Hewitt (Red Hot Chili Peppers,
The Avett Brothers). Songs from the upcoming 2011 release will be performed during the Green 17 Tour. Special
guests for the tour will be announced shortly.

The Budos Band

On August 10, 2010, Daptone Records will release The Budos Band III, unleashing The Budos Band‘s brazen sound
and inspiring fervor among music lovers throughout the world. Produced by Bosco Mann and TNT at Daptone
Records’ “House of Soul Studios” in Bushwick, Brooklyn, the band’s third full-length studio effort was conceived
during weekly, beer-fueled Staten Island writing sessions – as well as more than 150 live gigs over the last two years
- and recorded during a 48 hour period in January 2010.

The first single from The Budos Band III is the afro-rock burner, “Unbroken, Unshaven.” Download the free

The Budos Band has confirmed a national tour in support of the new album, beginning in June and running through
September 2010. Covering the U. S. and Canada, the band is performing in intimate night clubs to high profile
festivals including Celebrate Brooklyn! in Prospect Park, Bumbershoot, Millennium Park in Chicago, Outside Lands in

A new video for “Head Full of Doubt/Road Full of Promise” premiered on NPR Music’s All Songs Considered blog (www.npr.org/allsongs) today. Comprised of artwork
painted by Jason Ryan Mitchum and inspired by notable modern artists such as Phillipe Halsman and William
Kentridge (who just put on a major show at the Museum of Modern Art in New York), the video displays the
importance of fine art in The Avett Brothers’ work, furthermore demonstrated by Scott Avett‘s burgeoning
art career. His own original artwork, “Julianne in Vain”, served as the cover art for The Avett Brothers’ 2009
American/Columbia release, I and Love and You.

at New York’s famed Radio City Music Hall, Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre and culminating with two nights at

announce a fall tour in support of their latest album, Shame, Shame. Beginning October 16 in
Toronto, ON, this four-week tour follows two sold-out headlining tours and captivating performances at several
summer festivals including Bonnaroo and Sasquatch. Hailed as their best album to date by Rolling Stone, NPR,
People Magazine, Vanity Fair, Relix, Pitchfork and USA Today, among many more, Shame, Shame, which
debuted within the Billboard Top 50, is the work of an inventive and absolutely irresistible band who shows no sign

night (6/18) in Holmdel, NJ. The “Get Your Sting and Blackout” farewell tour continues onto major cities across the U.S. including Detroit,
Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Atlanta, Miami, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Denver and many more as The Scorpions celebrate their

Asian Sovereign Wealth Funds invest in Chesapeake

Sovereign wealth funds from China, Singapore and South Korea and two private-equity firms agreed to invest US$900 million ($1.2 billion) in Chesapeake Energy Corp., the third-largest natural-gas producer in the US.

The investors bought the Oklahoma City-based gas company’s 5.75% convertible preferred stock on June 18, Chesapeake said yesterday in a statement, without giving details of the individual stakes. South Korea’s $30 billion sovereign wealth fund said yesterday it will spend US$200 million.
