Danish parliamentary delegation in Belgrade
President of the Danish parliament Thor Pedersen said in Belgrade on Monday that Denmark fully supports Serbia’s efforts to become a member of the EU. Addressing journalists at the Serbian National Assembly building, after the signing of the Agreement on inter-parliamentary cooperation between Serbia and Denmark, Pedersen said that he is satisfied with the progress Serbia has made on its EU pathway, of which his counterpart Slavica Äukić-Dejanović had informed him.
U.S. military delegation visits Serbia
Parliamentary Defense and Security Committee Chairman DuÅ¡an Bajatović met with a delegation of the U.S. National Guard. He said that Serbia has to cooperate with the U.S., adding that the two countries’ relations should focus on the future regardless of issues burdening them at the moment.

Parliamentary committee to discuss bridge
The parliament’s Committee on Transportation and Communications will discuss problems caused by the damage discovered on the Gazela Bridge in Belgrade. Boris Tadić says he doubts that the fact that the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians (SVM) didn’t vote for the budget will lead to early parliamentary elections. “These elections would not work to the advantage of anyone, except those that are dissatisfied with the number of seats they have in the Serbian parliament and the money that comes with these seats,†the Serbian president, who is also the leader of the ruling Democrats (DS), said.

Parliamentary Speaker Slavica Äukić-Dejanović has called a meeting on Tuesday for the debate of the Vojvodina statue draft and accompanying laws. Äukić-Dejanović proposed that the statute and the law on transferring authorities to Vojvodina, approved by the government, begin being debated at Tuesday’s meeting.
Committee approves statute draft
The Parliamentary Committee for Constitutional Affairs approved the draft law on Wednesday for the new Vojvodina statute and its accompanying bills. The Serbian parliament will begin debates of the drafts on November 24.
