Month-on-month average earnings up 16.6 pct
Average earnings in December 2009 in Serbia were RSD 36,789 (EUR 375), the Statistical Office has announced. This means that in real terms, the figure is 16.6 percent higher than in November of last year, and 16.5 percent higher in nominal terms.

Kosovo: 38 pct turnout in second round
A total of 37.87 percent of registered voters participated in the second round of local elections in 21 Kosovo municipalities. The Central Election Commission in Kosovo (CIK) stated on Sunday night that the second round of elections for municipal presidents wrapped up with about 38 percent of the 376,337 registered voters participating.

DS, SNS lead in latest poll
The ruling Democrats (DS) currently have the support of 35.1 pct of potential voters in Serbia, followed by the opposition Serb Progressives (SNS) with 31 pct. But the latest Strategic Marketing agency survey shows that in Belgrade, the two parties switch places. There, 36 percent of those polled would vote for the SNS, while 27 percent said they supported the Democrats.
