Oracle Withdraws Sun Buyout Petition to Russian Antitrust Regulators
Oracle withdraws its petition to obtain antitrust clearance to do business in Russia after its acquisition of Sun Microsystems. The Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia requires that once it is notified of a merger or acquisition that may infringe upon antitrust laws, the companies involved have a maximum of 90 working days to complete the deal.
