CapitaLand says 60% of units in Phase 2 launch of The Beaufort in Beijing sold

CapitaLand China Holdings, the wholly-owned subsidiary of CapitaLand, says 60% of the 220 units in the Phase 2 launch of The Beaufort condominium in Beijing have been sold at an average price of around RMB38,500 ($7,500) per square metre over the Christmas weekend.

One- and two-bedroom apartments at The Beaufort were priced at between RMB2.3 million and RMB4.1 million each.

GPSChemoil secures $117m financing for Phase 4 fuel terminal project

GPSChemoil has announced that the financing of the construction of phase four of its storage terminal at Fujairah, United Arab Emirates, has been successfully arranged.

GPSChemoil is a joint venture company between Gulf Petrol Supplies LLC, a subsidiary of the Fujairah National Group, and Chemoil, one of the world’s leading suppliers of Marine Fuel.

Oracle’s Phase Forward Acquisition Expands Health Care Portfolio

Oracle announced the acquisition of Phase Forward, which offers a SAAS Integrated Clinical Research Suite for managing clinical development and medical safety processes, in a cash merger worth about $685 million. Oracle has been expanding its health care IT portfolio through a variety of new applications and acquisitions over the past few months, including the March release of Oracle Healthcare Transaction Base 6.1, a multiple-use data repository, along with a health care analytics package that includes Oracle Healthcare Data Warehouse Foundation and Oracle Operating Room Analytics.

BBR Holdings unit wins $42m contract to build Phase 1 of Yang Kee Logistics Chemical Hub at …

BBR Holdings (S), the specialist engineering group, has secured a $42 million contract from Yang Kee Holdings to construct Phase 1 of the Yang Kee Logistics Chemical Hub at Jurong Pier.

The design-and-build contract was clinched through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Singa Development. Work on the five-storey warehouse building with drive-up ramps serving each floor has already begun and is scheduled to be completed in early 2011.

Haiti says search and rescue phase “over”

Two more people have been plucked alive from the rubble in Haiti, just hours before the country declared its earthquake search and rescue phase over. The UN says 132 survivors have so far been rescued by international teams – the latest a 22-year-old man and an 84-year-old woman.

Preview sales had started just before the Christmas holidays in December 2009.

Lum Chang Holdings says subsidiary Lum Chang Building Contractors, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, has clinched the tender for the third and final phase of the commerical development at Changi Business Park Ave. 3.

The design and build contract worth $27.5 million was awarded by HSBC Institutional Trust Services (Singapore) as trustee of Ascendas Real Estate Investment Trust or A-REIT.
