AT&T will join rival Verizon Wireless in offering the Palm Pres younger sibling, the Pixi Plus. The Pixi, which features webOS and a $49.99 price tag, will go on sale June 6. – The Palm Pre Plus wont be on the AT T Wireless network without

ATandT to Offer Palm Pre Plus, Pixi Plus, Dell Aero

AT T will begin offering the Palm Pre Plus and Pixi Plus Â“in the coming months.Â” Like Verizon Wireless, AT T will sell the Pre Plus for $149.99, but like Sprint, which offers the original Pixi, AT T will sell the Pixi Plus for $49.99 after contract and rebate. At the same time, AT T also will soon be selling Dell’s Aero, the vendor’s first smartphone in the United States.

Palm WebOS 1.4 for Pre, Pixi Smartphones Imminent

Palm is expected to push out WebOS 1.4 to Palm Pre and Pixi handsets at any moment, according to several reports. The long list of expected improvements includes a fix to the browser and simpler options for making calls and interacting with contacts.
– Sprint has confirmed that Palm Pre and Pixi devices will receive an update
to WebOS 1.4 on Feb. 26, according to Engadget which later reported that the

Palm Reports Pre, Pixi Sales by Sprint Below Forecasts

Palm reports that its partner Sprint Nextel has been selling fewer of its Pre and Pixi smartphones than expected, reflecting intense competition in the mobile phone market. Palm also reports a greater-than-expected financial loss of 37 cents a share for its fiscal second quarter. Analysts had forecast a loss of 32 cents a share for the quarter.
