Emerging markets allure ‘never stronger’, GIC says

Investors should allocate more of their portfolio to emerging markets, according to Government of Singapore Investment Corp portfolio manager Liew Tzu Mi.

“The emerging markets story has never been stronger and, if anything, the crisis has shown this is where you should be investing your money,” Liew said at an Emerging Markets Traders Association forum in Singapore yesterday. “Having emerging markets as an asset class is a very important decision.”

Temasek says portfolio falls by a fifth in year to March
