Lotus Plays Black Sabbath (10/30) Video Game Music (10/31)

OCTOBER 30 IN PORTLAND AND OCTOBER 31 IN SEATTLE

Halloween Poster

Over the past few years a musical costume has inspired Lotus‘ Halloween performances – ranging from the ’27 Conspiracy’ night featuring songs
from artists that passed away at that age as well as full garb of each (Cobain, Morrison, Pig Pen, Hendrix, Brian
Jones) – to last year’s David Bowie tribute which had each member adorned in the get-up of a different era Bowie.

This year Lotus presents two Halloween themes, taking place on 10/30 in Portland, OR at the Roseland Theatre and
10/31 in Seattle, WA at the Showbox at the Market. For Devil’s Night, Lotus are honoring the 40th anniversary of
the classic album Paranoid by Black Sabbath.

And for Seattle’s show on Halloween proper the band will be paying tribute to some of the music that has arisen
from Video Games.

Charlie Hunter: New Album & Dates

PUBLIC DOMAIN OUT NOW

Charlie Hunter

Charlie Hunter has just
released his second solo outing, Public Domain. Not since Solo Eight-String Guitar a
decade ago has Charlie made a recording of just him and his guitar. This time, he’s down to 7-strings and is
performing songs that are all public domain. The songs were all hand-picked by Charlie’s grandfather. “I was into
doing a solo record for some time and just hit on the public domain idea. I figured I’d ask someone who actually
remembered the tunes from his youth: My grandfather, Sidney Greenman. He was born in 1911 (yep, he’s 99). He
helped pick the tunes for me. I recorded this in a day at The Bunker Studio in Brooklyn. Everything is live, there is
no editing. Hope you like.”

Pick up an exclusive CD copy of Public Domain only available here. It is also available for download at iTunes and all major digital distribution
retailers. Also pick up both a t-shirt and ‘Public Domain’ CD for a discounted price in Charlie’s Store.

Masters of Reality: New Album US Dates, UK Tour w/ The Cult

HUGELY INFLUENTIAL BAND RETURNS WITH KILLER NEW RECORD

“Although Chris Goss is probably best known for his production/engineering talents (having worked with UNKLE, Stone Temple Pilots and, most extensively, Kyuss and Queens Of The Stone Age), since the late 80s, he has been issuing albums as the leader of Masters Of Reality.” – Billboard

“A study in Goss’ brand of desert-rock weirdness, a kind of bad-acid-trip storyboard that makes you believe you’re in a German expressionist production of Alice In Wonderland and you can’t blink or else the pod people will erase your soul.” – Magnet

“What knocks you back on your heels with Pine/Cross Dover is how much this band still sounds like no one else and how much others have lifted from them. Masters of Reality aren’t trying to emulate any of their ancestors but in their veins flows the same viscous fluids that pumped through prime Deep Purple, Television, Grand Funk Railroad, Cream and the like.” – Dirty Impound

Masters’ Chris Goss

For nearly 20 years, the intermittent and somewhat reclusive collaborative musical efforts of Chris Goss and John Leamy collectively known as the avant-renegade rockers Masters of Reality (a relationship that began with Leamy painting the cover of their very first Masters album), have influenced the face and character of rock and roll music around the world. And that tradition continues with Pine/Cross Dover (released October 12 in the U.S.).

Check out the lead-off track “King Richard TLH” here.

On the band’s brand new, two-headed beast of a full-length recording, the group pits the finer elements of the Mahavishnu Orchestra and Public Image Limited against each other for a Masters of Reality album that rocks, rolls, and grooves like one devilish son of a gun. Joining Goss and Leamy are a host of special guests, including Eagles of Death Metal bassist Brian O’Connor and guitarist Dave Catching, Merle Jagger guitarist Mark Christian, background singers Shawnee Smith and Missi Pyle, as well as former Queens of the Stone Age guitarist Brendon McNichol.

Leland Sundries: Fall Tour/1st EP

ONE OF THE FRESHEST DEBUTS IN ’10 TOURS EAST COAST

“Leland Sundries singer/picker Nick Loss-Eaton’s the-Band-meets-Lou-Reed approach mates gnawing electric guitar and old-time acoustic six-string, banjo, and harmonica melodies with dry-witted, drawling, modern-day ennui.” -Boston Phoenix

Leland Sundries

Laura Minor, who xlr8r compared to Lucinda Williams, appears on guest vocals on the EP’s wistful closing waltz.
