Bright World Precision Machinery wins $9.4m contract to supply metal stamping equipment

Mainboard-listed Bright World Precision Machinery, the provider of precision stamping equipment for the automotive, railway and white goods industries, says it has secured contracts worth RMB48 million ($9.4 million) to supply metal stamping precision equipment to China CNR for locomotive engine components. Bright World’s current order book stands at RMB280 million.

Perry Farrell will head
south to Miami in December during Art Basel Miami Beach, a cultural and social highlight for the art world
and the most important art show in the United States. There he will present a one-of-a-kind experience with
Precision Guided Musicians (PGM). Set for Thursday, December 2 in conjunction with Lorraine Lamont of
Lola Ink Media, the PGM Art Project at Bardot is an invite-only event to kick off Art Basel Miami Beach and to
celebrate the launch of the PGM Art Project Grant.

After the exhibitions and galleries have closed, the evening’s entertainment will culminate the PGM Art Project event
at Bardot featuring a performance by Perry-Etty vs. Chris Cox (Farrell and his wife and musical collaborator
Etty Farrell vs. Chris Cox) and special guests to be announced. On Wednesday, December 1, prior to the PGM event,
Perry & Etty Farrell will host an intimate VIP dinner at South Beach art deco hotspot Townhouse served by BONDST,
executive chef Mike Hiraga’s sleek sushi restaurant.

In the spirit of the week’s festivities, Farrell and Garrett Chau have created the PGM Art Project Grant
whose recipient will receive $7,000 and whose artwork will be displayed at future PGM events. Lola Ink Media will
book a gallery series for the artist in major markets such as Los Angeles and NYC. Starting today, Tuesday,
November 16, all street and fine artists are encouraged to apply for the PGM Art Project Grant by submitting a 300
DPI Hi-Res scan of artwork along with their contact information to: artproject@pgmfestival.com.

The grant recipient will be chosen by Farrell and a selection of art experts in spring of 2011. Further details will be
revealed in the coming weeks.


Miyoshi Precision posts 64% fall in 3Q net profit to $0.95m

Miyoshi Precision says it has posted a profit after tax of $0.95m for the third quarter ending May 31 2010 (3QFY2010) compared to $2.65m for 3QFY2009; a decline of 64.15%.

Group revenue was $35.22 million compared to $20.80 million for the same quarter of the previous year, a growth of 69.33%.

Hon Hai Precision invests $64m into Foxconn Singapore

Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. invested $64 million into its Foxconn Singapore unit, the Taipei-based contract maker of electronics said in an exchange filing today without specifying the purpose of the transaction.

In a separate filing, Hon Hai said it won’t comment on an Economic Daily News report today it won orders to make five million notebooks for Dell Inc. next year.

InnoTek posts turns around in 1Q with net profit after tax of $3.5m

InnoTek, the precision metal components manufacturer, has announced a net profit after tax of $3.5 million for the January-March 2010 quarter (1Q10), reversing from the loss of $0.8 million in 1Q09, as its Precision metal components business continued to show sustained growth after a recovery that had begun in the second half of FY09.

Miyoshi Precision posts 124% rise in 1H net earnings to $6.5m

Integrated metal-stamped precision parts specialist Miyoshi Precision more than doubled its first-half ending Feb 31 (1HFY2010) net earnings to $6.5 million from $2.9 million in 1HFY2009 on the back of a 47.8% rise in revenue to $75.6 million from $51.1 million. The company has an Aug year-end.

Correspondingly, earnings per share rose by 126.1% from 0.69 cents to 1.56 cents while net asset value per share climbed marginally from 17.75 cents to 18.73 cents.

Dell Vostro 3000 Laptops, Precision M4500 Workstation Target Different Users

Dell introduced new PCs on March 9 that target the extremes of the workforce spectrum. The Dell Vostro 3000 series of laptops offers small business customers new performance options that are secure, affordable and present a professional appearance to complement their brand images. On the other end, Dell also plans to update its T7500, T4400 and T3500 tower workstations with Intel Xeon 5600 processors. In addition, Dell introduced the 15.6-inch Precision M4500 Mobile Workstation, which combines Intel Core i7 technology with Nvidia Quadro FX 1800M graphics. There is also an option for a 64GB SSD MiniCard. The Vostro line is available in the United States as of March 9, while Precision M4500 is arriving later.

Miyoshi Precision posts 14.3% fall in full-year net to $9.2m on weak sales

Miyoshi Precision, the integrated metal-stamped precision parts specialist, has posted a 14.3% fall in FY2009 net profit attributable to shareholders to $9.2 million from $10.7 million in FY2008.

The fall in net profit came about as turnover for FY09 fell 29% to $94.9 million from $133.7 million.

JLJ’s 1H net rises 19.5% to $0.4m

JLJ Holdings, a provider of precision plastic injection mould design and fabrication, today announced its financial results for the six months ended June 30, 2009 (1HY2009).

The group ended 1H09 with revenue of $26.8 million compared with $17.3 million in 1H08.

Cost of goods increased by 71.5%, which led to a lower gross profit of $2.9 million in 1H09.
