Best Buy said June 25 that consumers can preorder the Motorola Droid X, which boasts a 4.3-inch screen and 720p HD video-capture playback, for $199 without the mail-in rebate. Apple made its iPad tablet PC available for preorder through its Apple Website on the morning of March 12, three weeks ahead of its April 3 release. While iPads with Wi-Fi will be released on that date, the devices with both Wi-Fi and 3G capabilities will ship in late April. Some 150,000 apps will be available for the iPad at launch, according to Apple, and third-party analytics suggest that developers have gravitated towards building apps for the upcoming platform. Apple’s App Store will feature 300,000 apps by the end of 2010, according to IDC.

Joy, Phish‘s eleventh studio album, and first in five years is available for pre-order now at Phish Dry Goods and will hit stores September 8. Joy is available on CD, and also as part of the Joy Box, a Limited Edition deluxe version. Also pressed the album on 180g Vinyl.
Joy was recorded in April and May of 2009 at Chung King Studio in New York City and was Produced by Steve Lillywhite. The CD features ten new tracks including “Stealing Time From The Faulty Plan,” “Kill Devil Falls,” “Ocelot” and “Joy”.
In addition to the Joy CD, Phish is offering an exclusive Joy Box, which is available only at Phish Dry Goods.
