Opposition leader accuses govt. over Kosovo ban

Opposition SNS leader Tomislav Nikolić says it was President Boris Tadić, and the government in Belgrade, who prevented him from traveling to Kosovo yesterday. Reports on Sunday said that Nikolić was turned back from entering the province on Sunday by Kosovo police, KPS. He was on his way to attend the enthronement of the Serbian Patriarch Irinej in Peć “as a private citizen”.

Serbia-Bavaria Commission anniversary

Serbian President Boris Tadić will attend in Munich on Monday a formal session that will mark 40th anniversary of the Serbian-Bavarian Commission. The Commission was established in 1970, with the aim to stimulate and promote the cooperation between Serbia and Bavaria in different areas. It has worked continuously from the day it was formed, except for the 1991-2001 period.

Serbian patriarch enthroned in Kosovo

The tolling of church bells and serving of Holy Liturgy have marked the beginning of enthronement ceremony of Serbian Orthodox Christian Patriarch Irinej.

Patriarch Irinej and bishops are serving the Holy Liturgy. President Boris Tadić represents the state of Serbia at today’s ceremony.

The Serbian Orthodox Christian Patriarch Irinej has been enthroned as the head of the Serbian Church in a ceremony in Kosovo.

Patriarch Irinej and bishops were serving the Holy Liturgy at the beginning of the ceremony. President Boris Tadić represents the state of Serbia.

Enthronement of Serbian patriarch prepared

Preparations for the ceremony of inauguration of Patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church Irinej in Kosovo are in their final stage. It seems almost certain that Serbian President Boris Tadić will not be the only politician at the ceremony. B92 has unofficially learned that President Boris Tadić will be the only official to attend enthronement of Patriarch Irinej.
The head of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) will be enthroned on Sunday October 3 in Kosovo, at the seat of the Church in the Peć Patriarchate.

President: New provocation from Priština
