Oil prices have rocketed in response to continued unrest in Egypt, euronews reports. Brent crude topped USD 100 a barrel on Monday for the first time since 2008 – jumping more than one percent.

Sri Trang Agro off 10.9%; low Singapore offer price

Sri Trang Agro-Industry (STA.TH) tumbles 10.9% to THB32.75 after the rubber processor set the final offering price for its dual listing on the Singapore Exchange at $1.20/share, or THB29/share, below the maximum offer price of $1.60, amid some investor concerns about Asian markets’ relative value in recent weeks, a person familiar with the transaction tells Dow Jones.

Sri Trang Agro shares slump after setting Singapore IPO price

Sri Trang Agro-Industry Pcl shares fell the most since August 2005 in Bangkok trading after saying it will sell stock in Singapore at $1.20 a share.
 
The stock fell as much as 16%  to 31 baht as of 11:31 a.m. local time.

Thai Sri Trang sets Singapore IPO price at $1.20

Thailand’s Sri Trang Agro-Industry Pcl (STA.BK) said on Wednesday it had set its  Singapore initial public offering price (IPO) at S$1.20 per share, some way below the maximum price of $1.60 it had announced before book-building.

The company’s shares will resume trading in Bangkok at 11:30 a.m.

Sri Trang says to fix Singapore IPO price Tuesday

Thailand’s Sri Trang Agro-Industry Pcl (STA.BK) said it had delayed fixing a price for its Singapore IPO to Tuesday from Monday due to unfavourable market conditions.

The Thai stock exchange halted trade in Sri Trang stock for a second day on Tuesday pending a pricing announcement, the company said in a statement. 

 
The main Thai index <.SET> fell 4.3% on Monday.

Phillip ups target price for Cosco Corp to $2.68

Phillip Securities has raised its target price for Singapore-listed shipbuilder Cosco Corp (COSC.SI) to $2.68 from $2.32 and maintained its “buy” rating.

According to DBS Vickers, Cosco Corp could benefit from the restructuring of its parent Cosco Group, which may inject two of its shipbuilding assets into the Singapore-listed unit.

Sri-Trang Agro sets maximum offer price at $1.60 per share

Sri Trang Agro-Industry Pcl, Thailand’s biggest publicly traded rubber producer, set a maaximum offer price of $1.60 a share for its initial public offering in Singapore.

The company will raise as much as $448 million by selling 280 million shares, it said in a statement. The offer price will be fixed on Jan. 24, the company said.

SIA +0.1%; UOB KayHian tips $14.30 entry price

Singapore Airlines (C6L.SG) +0.1% at $15.30, rebounding slightly after two sessions of declines, despite posting a decline in December overall load factor to 69.8% vs November’s 70.1%. But a meagre volume of just 97,000 shares traded suggests investors would rather wait for the carrier’s fiscal 3Q results, due Jan. 28, before taking strong positions.

Phillip starts Overseas Union Enterprise at Buy

Phillip Securities initiates coverage on Overseas Union Enterprise (LJ3.SG) at Buy with a $4.28 target price with zero premium/discount applied to RNAV, representing 18.9% upside over Friday’s closing price.

It says OUE’s revenue is strengthened with the acquisition of DBS Towers in August 2010. It notes “FY11 earnings will be further reinforced by the completion of two Grade-A office buildings – OUE Bayfront in 1Q11 and One Raffles Place Tower Two in 2H11, and recognition of sales from residential development Twin Peaks.”

STI down 0.1%; price action is “So-So” – Phillip

Singapore’s STI is off 0.1% at 3243.42, as early slight gains fade and the index continues its recent listless, rangebound trade. 277 million shares traded so far worth S$218 million, with market breadth evenly matched.

Phillip Securities says the STI “is so-so price action wise.” The house says Friday’s opening gap due to the property sector regulation was filled within the day (by banks, not so much by property) and “the daily charts do not look so clear.”

Ezra Holdings (EZRA SP): The provider of logistics services to the oil and gas industry said first-quarter profit declined 28% to $13.3 million from a year ago. Ezra gained 0.6% to $1.81.

Macquarie upgrades CapitaMalls Asia to Outperform

Macquarie upgrades CapitaMalls Asia (JS8.SG) to Outperform from Neutral and raises its target price to $2.24 from $2.19; it says CMA exceeded its investment targets in 2010 and house sees “no fundamental reasons for the stock price performance” (down 21% in the past 12 months and off 17% in the past three months vs +13% and +4% for STI respectively).

JPMorgan raises Suntec REIT to Neutral, ups target

JPMorgan upgrades Suntec REIT (T82U.SG) to Neutral from Underweight and raises its target price to $1.60 from $1.35. 

While the house retains its view the trust requires one more round of recapitalization, it says the stock is trading at a discount to NPV and book value estimates on a fully diluted basis; “In fact, as with the share price performance post the previous EFR exercise, we think a potential re-capitalization would help to fully lift the fundraising overhang and could be the share price catalyst.”

DMG upgrades SGX to Buy, ups FY12 volume view

DMG upgrades Singapore Exchange (S68.SG) to Buy from Neutral and raises its target price to $9.45 from $8.33. The house says SGX’s share price underperformed over the past year, but could outperform ahead.

The house raises its fiscal FY12 average daily turnover assumption by 8% to $1.90 billion on expectations trading volumes will rise, “given increased interest in market developments in the U.S. and EU, and on the domestic front.”
