Serbia, Croatia in joint science projects

The joint Serbian and Croatian commission for scientific and technological cooperation met on Friday in Zagreb and prepared a list of 32 science projects.

Sound Global wins 18 projects in Hunan

Sound Global says it has won 18 projects from a group of urban-rural waste water treatment plants in Changsha County, Hunan province, China, totalling RMB275 million ($53.5 million) in investments.

The projects include the investment, building, operation and transfer of 16 urban-rural waste water treatment plants (with a total capacity of 29,400 tonnes per day) with a concession period of 30 years.

TTJ wins new projects worth $12m

Structural steel firm TTJ Holdings announced today that it has successfully secured jobs totalling $12 million for a series of structural steel projects in Singapore.

Under the deal, TTJ will provide structural steelwork for infrastructure projects that include, the glass-clad pedestrian link bridges at Orchard Road at the proposed re-development of Specialists’ Centre/Hotel Phoenix, the Scot Project for Shell Eastern Petroleum at Pulau Bukom and for a depot located off Woodlands Road in Downtown Line Stage 2 (DTL2) (Contract 911).

The bulk of these projects are expected to be completed by 2013.

With these extra projects, the group’s order books as at 16 January 2011 rose to $157 million from $145 million as at 29 November 2010.

Singapore’s Hyflux to invest $58.3m in 3 China water projects

Singapore water firm Hyflux (HYFL.SI) said on Tuesday it has signed three concession agreements with the government of China’s Chongqing City to  develop three water projects in the city’s Hechuan Industrial  Park.

Hyflux will invest approximately US$45 million ($58.3 million) in these  three Build-Own-Transfer projects and maintain the plants over  a concession period of 30 years, the firm said in a statement  to the Singapore Exchange.

CapitaMalls may spend $2b on new projects this year

CapitaMalls Asia is likely to spend $2 billion on new projects this year, the company said in a statement to the stock exchange today. The developer said it plans to have 100 shopping malls in China within the next three to five years, from 53 units currently.

Regional energy projects declaration

Energy ministers of Serbia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Romania and Greece signed in Sofia a declaration on joint cooperation in energy projects over the next 10 years.
The declaration, which was adopted to the proposal of Serbian Minister of Energy Petar Škundrić, is based on the conclusions of the ministerial conference on the need to develop regional energy strategies.

Singapore to sell more land for residential projects in H1 2011

The Singapore government said on Thursday it will increase the supply of land for  residential development in the first half of 2011, as it tries to cool the housing market.
 
It said its first half 2011 land sales programme will have a total of 30 sites available for residential development that  can generate about 14,300 private residential units. This is  higher than the land for 13,900 units offered in the second  half of 2010.

Advanced clinches oil & gas projects in China and the Middle East worth $11m

Advanced Holdings, the global supplier of proprietary process equipment and technologies, clean energy solutions and environmental technologies, says it has successfully clinched new oil & gas contracts for the supply of process analyser packages worth $11 million in China and the Middle East.

In China, the process analyser packages will be supplied to subsidiaries of US-based multinational energy giant Chevron Corporation, Sinopec and Petrochina.

In the Middle East, the supply is for Saudi Aramco Total Refining and Petrochemical Company, a joint venture between two world oil majors, Saudi Aramco and Total. All these projects are expected to complete in 2011.
