Serbia, EU sign market liberalization protocol

Serbia’s Minister of Economy MlaÄ‘an Dinkić and EU Trade Commissioner Karel De Gucht signed a market liberalization protocol in Brussels on Tuesday. It is part of Serbia’s accession into the World Trade Organization (WTO), the Ministry of Economy announced in Belgrade.

Protocol signed for joint railway company

Representatives of the railways of Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia signed a protocol on the harmonization of the founding act of joint railway company Cargo 10. The protocol practically sets up the company that is aimed at reducing the time of transport along Corridor 10 by train.

Cisco Expands TelePresence with Protocol, New Apps

Cisco Systems is releasing a protocol designed to improve interoperability with telepresence systems from other vendors. In addition, Cisco is rolling out applications to expand its TelePresence technology beyond the virtual meeting room and is offering new endpoints that are more energy-efficient and easier to install. The announcements come as VOIP and video conferencing rivals such as Polycom are looking for ways to keep pace with Cisco.
