Final results of Kosovo elections

The Kosovo Central Election Commission announced on Sunday evening the final results of the early elections held in Kosovo.
According to this, 34 madates were won by Hashim Thaci’s Democratic Party of Kosovo, followed by the Democratic League of Kosovo with 27.

SIA Engineering off 1.0%; 4Q results in-line – OCBC

SIA Engineering (S59.SG) off 1.0% at $4.18 after it posts 3Q revenue at $269.5 million, +11.6% on year and down 2.7% on quarter with net profit of $60.3 million, +7.7% on year and down 9.3% on quarter.

Despite the sequential declines, selling is light with only 116,000 shares traded, as the results were largely within expectations.

Keppel Land +2.0%; FY10 results positive – OCBC

Keppel Land (K17.SG) opens +2.0% at $4.66 after it reports an eight-fold on-year increase in 4Q net profit to $841 million, mainly due to a $363.8 million divestment gain from its stake in Marina Bay Financial Centre Phase 1 and fair value gains of $442.7 million from investment properties.

OCBC, which has its previous Buy rating and $4.50 fair value under review, says the FY10 results were positive, notwithstanding the bumper gains.

The Kosovo Central Election Commission announced on Monday the preliminary results of the elections in Kosovo.
According to this, Hashim Thaci’s Democratic Party of Kosovo won with 32.4 percent of the votes.

Apple Reports First Quarter Results

Apple today announced financial results for its fiscal 2011 first quarter ended December 25, 2010. The Company posted record revenue of $26.74 billion and record net quarterly profit of $6 billion, or $6.43 per diluted share. These results compare to revenue of $15.68 billion and net quarterly profit of $3.38 billion, or $3.67 per diluted share, in the year-ago quarter. Gross margin was 38.5 percent compared to 40.9 percent in the year-ago quarter. International sales accounted for 62 percent of the quarter’s revenue. “We had a phenomenal holiday quarter with record Mac, iPhone, and iPad sales,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “We are firing on all cylinders, and we’ve got some exciting things in the pipeline for this year, including iPhone 4 on Verizon, which customers can’t wait to get their hands on.”

Preliminary results show Thaci party victory

Early results from the Kosovo elections held yesterday show the party of Hashim Thaci has the lead, while Serb parties that participated accuse each other.
The commission in charge of organizing elections in Kosovo (CIK) late on Monday announced the preliminary results.

Amtek +5.6%; Upcoming 1Q11 results may set tone

Turnout and results unclear in Serb areas

After the polls closed in the Kosovo elections this Sunday, it is still unknown how many Serbs voted, or which parties they supported. The elections were organized by the ethnic Albanian authorities, with the government in Belgrade deciding not to call on Serbs to vote.
