Minister: Budget revenue to exceed plans

Serbian Finance Minister Diana Dragutinović said Friday that she expected the total budget revenue in 2011 to exceed earlier forecasts by about RSD 10bn.

“Based on these two months – December of last and January of this year – I can accurately predict the revenue in 2011,” she said, adding that she was almost certain it would be “at least RSD 10bn higher than planned.”

SMRT posts 9.6% rise in 3Q net profit to $43m

SMRT says net profit for third quarter FY2011 (3QFY2011) grew by 9.6% to $43 million on account of higher revenue and absence of impairment of goodwill, although this was partially offset by higher operating expenses.

Group revenue for the third quarter increased by $19.1 million or 8.5% to $243.9 million.

Revenue from Train operations increased by $11.0 million (9.0%) in 3Q FY11 as a result of higher MRT ridership, partially offset by lower average fare for MRT due to the implementation of distance fares. In addition, the opening of Circle Line Stages 1 and 2 contributed to the increase in revenue.

Symantec Reports Improved Revenue, Lower Profit Margin

The company reports net income for its third quarter of $132 million, compared with $301 million for the same quarter in 2010. – In its fiscal third-quarter earnings report on Jan. 26, data protection

Parkway Life Reit rated ‘buy’ by DBS

DBS Vickers Securities in a Jan 24 research report says: “4Q10 DPU of 2.38 cents (+16% y-o-y; 6% q-o-q) was within our expectations. Gross revenue grew 21% y-o-y to $21.5 million, driven largely by additional contributions from a total of 19 nursing homes acquired and higher revenue from Singapore properties.

Suntec REIT off 0.6%; 4Q revenue declines

Suntec REIT (T28U.SG) is off 0.6% at $1.57 after posting 4Q10 gross revenue of $61.41 million, down 0.6% on-year and off 2.9% on-quarter; its net property income was flat on-year and down 6.7% on-quarter at $47.2 million, while DPU fell 19.8% on-year and 7.4% on-quarter to 2.316 cents.

Parkway Life REIT announces 16.6% rise in 4Q distributable income for $14.4m

Parkway Life Real Estate Investment Trust (PLife REIT) says it registered a 21.1% increase in gross revenue from $17.7 million in the previous corresponding period (4Q 2009) to $21.5 million for the fourth quarter (4Q 2010) ended 31 December 2010.

PLife REIT says this was primarily due to the full quarter revenue contribution amounting to $0.9 million from the eight Japan nursing home properties acquired in November 2009, and recognition of revenue contribution amounting to $2.5 million from the 11 Japan nursing home properties acquired in June and July 2010.

M1′s 4Q net profit tad up on higher operating revenue

M1 (MONE.SI), Singapore’s smallest mobile phone operator, said its fourth quarter net profit rose 0.7%, as higher operating revenue was offset by a rise in operating expenses.
 
M1 had a net profit of $37.5 million for the three months ended Dec 31, up from$37.2 million in the year-ago period, it said in a statement.
 
The company’s operating revenue rose 20.9% to $261.4 million in the fourth quarter from $216.2 million a year ago, due to higher service revenue and handset sales.

M1’s full-year net profit rises 4.5% to $157.1m

M1 Limited (M1) says net profit after tax increased 4.5% to $157.1 million for the year ended Dec 31, 2010.

Operating revenue at $979.2 million rose 25.3% year-on-year due to higher service revenue and handset sales. Service revenue grew 4.6% to $732.9 million, benefiting from growth in mobile customer base, as well as higher contribution from fixed services. EBITDA at $313.3 million was up 1.2%.

Revenue from non-voice services rose by 5.9% points to make up 31.9% of service revenue, driven by continual growth in mobile broadband and smartphone customer base.

Ascendas REIT (A-REIT), the business space and industrial real estate investment trust, says net property and related finance lease interest income increased 3.3% year-on-year to $84.1 million for 3Q FY2010/11.

SPH Q1 net profit down 29.3% on lower property revenue

Media firm Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) (SPRM.SI) said on Friday its first quarter net profit fell 29.3% due to a drop in operating revenue from its property segment.

SPH’s net profit for the three months ended November 30 was $102.3 million, down from $144.7 million in the same period a year ago, it said in a statement.

 

The company, which has a near monopoly on newspaper publishing in Singapore, also said its first quarter revenue fell by 10% to $318.7 million as revenue from property business plunged 63% to $36.8 million.

Ezra posts 25% rise in 1Q revenue to $98m

Ezra Holdings, the integrated support and marine services provider in the offshore oil and gas (O&G) sector, reported a 25% year-on-year increase in revenue to US$75.9 million ($98 million), for the first quarter ended 30 November 2010 (1Q FY11).

Ezra says the strong growth in revenue was spurred by two of its divisions: deepwater subsea services and marine services.

Singapore’s two casino resorts, run by Genting Singapore Plc and Las Vegas Sands Corp., contributed $420 million in net revenue to the city-state in the April to November 2010 period, Second Finance Minister Lim Hwee Hua said in Parliament today.

Datapulse Technology reports 23% fall in 1Q net profit to $3m

Mainboard-listed Datapulse Technology, one of the leading total solution providers of CD and DVD services in the Asia Pacific region, reported its first quarter results for the financial year 2011.
