Broken Social Scene: NYC Show Live Stream

Broken Social Scene

After playing sold out shows from coast to coast this past fall, Broken Social Scene will be playing
a very special one-off show in New York City on January 18. YouTube will be live streaming this show in its entirety
beginning at 9 pm EST, and can be seen here: youtube.com/bowerypresents. The show will be packed full of
songs from all of their critically acclaimed albums – 2002′s You Forgot It In People, 2005′s Broken
Social Scene
, and their most recent release, 2010′s Forgiveness Rock Record.

January’s show is one of ten select shows Broken Social Scene will be playing throughout the U.S. this winter. Up-
and-coming Toronto band Zeus will
be opening all of the band’s February shows. Tickets for these shows are on sale now all ticket providers
nationwide. Tour dates are listed below.

Broken Social Scene: 2011 Winter Tour Dates

FORGIVENESS ROCK RECORD OUT NOW

Fresh off a sold-out North American tour in support of their acclaimed album Forgiveness Rock
Record
, Canadian collective Broken Social Scene will be playing ten special shows throughout the U.S. this February,
including a one night only performance in New York City at Terminal 5 on January 18, 2011. A pre-sale for tickets
to these shows begin Wednesday December 1h via GalleryAC.com; public on-sale begins Friday December 17. Tour
dates are listed below.

The band has also released the video for their latest single “Texico Bitches,” premiering today. Check out the video

Broken Social Scene: North American Tour

THE SCENE TAKES NEW SONGS OUT ON THE ROAD

After playing a series of sold out shows around the release of their new album, Forgiveness Rock Record, Canadian collective Broken Social Scene will be heading out on a North American tour. The band will be playing select festivals this summer, including Sasquatch in George, WA and the Pitchfork Festival in Chicago, as well as a show at Rumsey Playfield in New York City’s Central Park.

Pitchfork Fest Adds BSS, Panda Bear, EL-P, Girls

EL-P, THE JON SPENCER BLUES EXPLOSION, GIRLS, AND MORE TO 2010 FESTIVAL

The 2010 Pitchfork Music Festival is set to go down at Chicago’s Union Park on July 16-18. The second batch of bands slated to perform have been announced. This year’s festival welcomes the return of Canadian super-collective Broken Social Scene, who will be fresh off the release of their newest full-length due out in April, Forgiveness Rock Record. They will be joining Modest Mouse on Friday’s bill, along with indie hip hop pioneer El-P. Saturday welcomes the sun-drenched sounds of Animal Collective member Panda Bear, the always raucous Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Brooklyn art-rockers Bear in Heaven, noisy New Jersey collective Titus Andronicus, Gary, Indiana’s emcee Freddie Gibbs, space-funk torch-bearer Dam-Funk, and Chicago glam-rockers The Smith Westerns, while Sunday will sport the talents of San Francisco heart-breakers Girls and local psych outfits Cave and Allá. More bands will be added as the festival date approaches
