At yesterday’s RSA Conference, Malcolm Harkins, CISO and GM, Intel Enterprise Capabilities Controls and Compliance, received the Excellence in the Field of Security Practices Award. In accepting the award, Harkins explained to other security professionals that the greatest vulnerability is “our underestimation or overestimation of risk.”
At the RSA Conference, White House Cyber-Security Coordinator Howard Schmidt announced that an unclassified version of the Obama administration’s “Comprehensive National Cybersecurity Initiative” is now available online. In his remarks, Schmidt declared that transparency and partnership must go hand in hand.
