GIC considers more IPOs after sale of Global Logistic, Tan says

Government of Singapore Investment Corp., a sovereign wealth fund with US$100 billion ($128.5 billion) of reserves, will consider selling more assets through initial public offerings, Deputy Chairman Tony Tan said.

GIC, which sold US$2.7 billion of shares in its Global Logistic Properties in October, “does own a number of assets which could be good candidates for listing if the circumstances are right and there’s a need,” Tan said at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

New Century said to seek Hong Kong initial share sale

New Century Shipbuilding, the Chinese shipbuilder which canceled a share sale in Singapore last May, is seeking at least US$1 billion ($1.28 billion) in a Hong Kong initial public offering, two people familiar with the matter said.

The company, based in Jingjiang in eastern Jiangsu province, aims to list in Hong Kong in the first half of this year, said the people, who declined to be identified because the information is confidential.

Pacific Andes delays first dim sum bond sale citing high yields

Pacific Andes Resources Development, the Singapore-based processor of frozen seafood and vegetables, postponed its first sale of yuan-denominated bonds in Hong Kong citing unfavorable market conditions.

The sale is delayed because trading in the so-called Dim Sum market is volatile and recent offerings by Chinese property companies pushed yields “quite high,” Katie Tsui, an investor relations manager at the company, said in a telephone interview from Hong Kong.

Dukang gets Taiwan approval for Depositary Receipts sale

Taiwan’s Financial Supervisory Commission approved Dukang Distillers Holdings’ plan to sell NT$2.21 billion ($98 million) of Taiwan Depositary Receipts, the regulator said in a statement on its website. Singapore-listed Dukang makes spirits principally in China.

The Black Crowes recently
wrapped up their last scheduled U.S. show in San Francisco as part of a six-show sold-out run at the Fillmore
(December 12-19), and will embark on their final eight shows in Europe (July 7-18), concluding their 20th
anniversary tour in Amsterdam with a two-night engagement at The Paradiso. The band recently announced they
are going on an indefinite hiatus to spend time with family and work on other projects.

Sri Trang said to seek $361m in Singapore sale: Update 2

Sri Trang Agro-Industry Pcl, the best performer on Thailand’s benchmark stock index last year, wants to raise about $280 million ($361 million) from a share sale in Singapore, according to a term sheet obtained by Bloomberg News.

Sri Trang, Thailand’s biggest publicly traded rubber producer, will sell as many as 280 million shares to individual and institutional investors, according to a prospectus sent to the Monetary Authority of Singapore today. The company in August delayed the sale, citing “volatility” in global equity markets.
