A hearing on Serbia’s request that Tihomir Purda was held on Tuesday in the Court of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The Croat has been charged with committing war crimes in Vukovar in 1991 by the Serbian judiciary, Beta news agency reports.

Chirac – honorary citizen of Sarajevo
Former French president Jacques Chirac was named an honorary citizen of Sarajevo on Tuesday, local media report. At the Tuesday session of the City Council, the councilors adopted with 21 votes in favor and one abstention the Decision on the proclamation of Chirac an honorary citizen of Sarajevo.
Eight arrested for auto theft

Muslim council seeks “internationalization of problems”
A Bosniak national council, which has not been recognized by Serbia’s authorities, said they wold ask for support from Sarajevo.
Sarajevo should help the council make problems faced by Bosniaks (Muslims) in Serbia an international issue, it was announced on Sunday in Novi Pazar.

Ratko Mladić’s arrest is no longer called into question and it is now a purely technical issue, said Rasim Ljajić.
Head of the National Council for Cooperation with the Hague Tribunal Rasim Ljajić told Sarajevo-based daily Dnevni Avaz that a political decision on the issue of Mladić’s arrest was clear and that the issue was now purely technical. He added, however, that it was obviously not easy to perform the arrest.

Serbian War Crimes Prosecutor Vladimir VukÄević says that cooperation with the Bosnian prosecution is the worst in the region.
He stressed that cooperation was much better with Zagreb, Podgorica, Skopje and EULEX than with Sarajevo.
New Bosnian presidency constituted
The newly elected members of the Presidency of Bosnia-Herzegovina took their oath of office in Sarajevo this Wednesday.
Representing Serb, Croat and Muslim (Bosniak) peoples, the new members of the presidency are Nebojša Radmanović, Željko Komšić and Bakir Izetbegović.

Russia wants “end of high rep mandate”
Russia believes it is necessary to end the mandate of international high representative in Bosnia-Herzegovina as soon as possible. This is according to the country’s ambassador in Sarajevo, Aleskandr Botsan-Kharchenko, who told the media in Banja Luka on Wednesday that both Bosnian politicians and the international community should support this outcome “more efficiently”.
Hillary Clinton travels to Bosnia
U.S. State Secretary Hillary Clinton will today visit Sajarevo, in Bosnia-Herzegovina, at the start of her tour of the region. Clinton is expected in Sarajevo late on Monday, where she will meet with government, NGO and international community officials.

Bosnia: 60 arrested in organized crime raids
Some 60 people, including 22 active police officers, were arrested in a joint operation of the Bosnia-Herzegovina police forces. This was announced by the Prosecution of Bosnia-Herzegovina today in Sarajevo.
Turkish president visits Bosnia
Turkish President Abdullah Gul said in Sarajevo on Thursday his country was “ready to increase current political and economic cooperation” with Bosnia. He underlined that Bosnia had to “quickly and courageously” work on its European integration.

Boris Tadić and Milorad Dodik stated that the lack of a clear stance of Bosnia-Herzegovina regarding Serbia’s integrity is dangerous and counterproductive. German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle said in Sarajevo that a united Bosnia-Herzegovina is important for stability of Europe. He also expressed his support for its development, said reports.
Srebrenica war crimes suspect arrested
Dragan Nešković (37) was arrested in the Bijeljina area by order of Bosnia-Herzegovina Prosecution’s Special War Crimes Department. This was announced in Sarajevo today.
