At least 31 people died today at Moscow’s Domodedovo airport in a suicide bomber attack, the Russian Ministry of Health said. However, the cause of the blast could also have been a bomb hidden in the luggage, said some reports.

Sembcorp Marine achieved a 105% increase in 3Q 2010 net profit to $296 million from $145 million in 3Q 2009. Excluding the one-off write-back of $53 million in the consolidated income statement arising from the full and final amicable settlement with Societe Generale on the disputed foreign exchange transactions, net profit at $243 million in 3Q 2010 was 68% higher as compared with $145 million for the corresponding period in 2009.

At least 101 people died and 140 were injured when fireworks sparked a blaze which led to a stampede in a packed Russian nightclub. Revellers rushed to the exits of the club in the centre of the city of Perm. Early reports suggested there had been an explosion but that is being denied by officials.
