Thai Sri Trang sets Singapore IPO price at $1.20

Thailand’s Sri Trang Agro-Industry Pcl (STA.BK) said on Wednesday it had set its  Singapore initial public offering price (IPO) at S$1.20 per share, some way below the maximum price of $1.60 it had announced before book-building.

The company’s shares will resume trading in Bangkok at 11:30 a.m.

Sri-Trang Agro sets maximum offer price at $1.60 per share

Sri Trang Agro-Industry Pcl, Thailand’s biggest publicly traded rubber producer, set a maaximum offer price of $1.60 a share for its initial public offering in Singapore.

The company will raise as much as $448 million by selling 280 million shares, it said in a statement. The offer price will be fixed on Jan. 24, the company said.

Olam International, a commodity supplier backed by Singapore’s Temasek Holdings Pte, plans to set up a US$200 million ($261.9 million) sugar-refining venture at a port in Nigeria to tap growing demand in the nation.

Olam will have an 80% stake in the operation with the Lababidi Group, an African company with interests ranging from wheat milling to port real estate, holding the rest. Half the investment will be debt-funded, with the remainder contributed by each partner in line with their equity, Olam said today in a Singapore stock exchange statement.
