Insolvent Slovenian firm “continues work in Serbia”

Slovenia’s largest construction company SCT will not halt its projects in Serbia, it has been announced. The biggest of those is the Ada Bridge, currently under construction over the Sava River in Belgrade.

Slovenian admits to killings, denies genocide

Franc Kos has admitted before a court in Sarajevo that he participated in the 1995 Srebrenica executions. However, Kos, who is a Slovenian citizen, denied involvement in committing genocide, according to media reports in Slovenia.

PM meets with Slovenian counterpart

Slovenian PM Borut Pahor has arrived for a one-day visit to Serbia, and has met with his Serbian counterpart Mirko Cvetković. The two premiers concluded in Belgrade on Tuesday that bilateral relations of the two countries are on the rise, and Cvetković thanked Pahor for the support Slovenia is giving Belgrade on its EU path.

Serbian, Slovenian PMs meet in Ljubljana

Serbian and Slovenian Prime Ministers Mirko Cvetković and Borut Pahor said that relations between the two countries were good.

“Relations are friendly, political cooperation has intensified, and the economic relations of the two countries are progressing despite the crisis,” Pahor said.

Slovenian FM: Serbia too sensitive

Slovenian FM Samuel Žbogar says that Serbia has been “too sensitive lately” due to expected opinion of International Court of Justice (ICJ) on Kosovo. The highest UN court is currently deliberating the legality under international law of the Kosovo Albanian UDI of two years ago.

Slovenian PM in surprise trip to Belgrade

Slovenia’s PM Borut Pahor last night suddenly left for Belgrade, Ljubljana-based daily Delo writes today. The reason for the trip is Pahor’s attempt to avoid “unpleasant surprises” as an informal regional conference opens in Slovenia on Saturday, says the newspaper.

Slovenian PM in Priština today

Slovenian Prime Minister Borut Pahor will travel to Kosovo today, it has been announced in Ljubljana. He is due to meet in Priština with the Kosovo Albanian Prime Minister Hashim Thaci, however, no details of the agenda have been officially revealed.

President set for meeting with Slovenian, Croat PMs

President Boris Tadić will be meeting on Friday with Slovenian and Croatian Prime Ministers Borut Pahor and Jadranka Kosor. According to Pahor’s cabinet, the meeting will be informal and will be dedicated to preparing the coming regional conference on the European future of the Western Balkans, expected to be held in Slovenia on March 20.

Tadić to meet Slovenian, Croatian PMs

Serbian President Boris Tadić will hold a meeting with Croatian and Slovenian prime ministers Jadranka Kosor and Borut Pahor on Friday. The meeting will be informal and it is intended to bring closer their positions, in view of the upcoming conference on the Western Balkans, which will be organized by Slovenia and Croatia.

Slovenian IM: Visa-free by year’s end

Serbia, Macedonia and Montenegro will most probably receive a visa-free regime for travel to the EU by the end of 2009, says Slovenian IM Katarina Kresal. Croat vet “planned murder of Slovenian PM”

A man armed with four hand grenades was arrested early Saturday on the train at the Slovenian-Croatian border, local media reported. The 65-year-old man, a former war veteran, allegedly planned to murder Slovenian Prime Minister Borut Pahor.
