Jose González‘s song “Far
Away”, appearing in Red Dead Redemption, won ‘Best Song In A Game’ at the 2010 Spike Video Game
Awards, which aired on Spike TV on Saturday, December 10. Red Dead Redemption also took home
the evening’s top honor by getting named “Game of the Year”. González, Junip‘s singer and guitarist, was
there and performed “Far Away” live at the awards ceremony which was held at the LA Convention Center. “Far
Away” can be found on the Red Dead Redemption soundtrack. Junip’s version of the song is on the Rope &
Summit EP, which was released digitally May 25, 2010 and is included in the deluxe version of Fields,
out now.
