Srbijagas CEO: Prices must increase

Srbijagas Director Dušan Bajatović said that gas prices in Serbia need to increase by 20 percent. He told daily Blic that the demand for price hikes is ready and that a political agreement is needed in order to implement the plan.

LDP on Srbijagas monopoly

LDP stated that the decision of the Commission for Protecting Competition confirms monopolistic behavior by the Srbijagas public company on the domestic market. The Liberal Democratic Party stated that according to the commission, free competition does not exist on the Serbian gas market.

Serbia to ink South Stream company deal

A contract that will establish the South Stream Serbia company will be signed on Tuesday in Switzerland. Serbia’s public gas enterprise Srbijagas and Russia’s Gazprom will sign the founding act, Srbijagas CEO DuÅ¡an Bajatović has confirmed.

State gas company takes over factory

Serbia’s state-owned natural gas enterprise Srbijagas has officially taken over Serb Glass Factory (Srpska fabrika stakla). The takeover was completed on Tuesday and, as Srbijagas’ Director DuÅ¡an Bajatović poined out, the factory’s recovery will take around three years.

Serbia to store Russian gas in Hungary

Srbijagas General Director DuÅ¡an Bajatović says it was agreed in principle that Gazprom would provide storage of 200 million cu m of gas in Hungary for Serbia. The meeting between representatives of the Russian gas and oil giant, Germany’s EON and Serbia’s state owned natural gas enterprise took place in Vienna, Austria, on Thursday.

Pančevo fertilizer plant on trial run

Srbijagas General Director Dušan Bajatović stated Monday that production in Pančevo-based fertilizer producer HIP Azotara is on a trial run. He explained that production at the factory will be restarted in phases so as to have a completed technological process by the end of the week and the first amounts of ammonia produced.

Talks on Banatski Dvor under way

Gazprom and Srbijagas officials have met in Belgrade to begin final talks on the creation of a joint company to run the Banatski Dvor underground gas reservoir. “Gazprom and Srbijagas experts will discuss the contract over the next two days, after which the document is expected to be initialed and signed,“ Srbijagas informed Beta.

Srbijagas: Banatski Dvor agreement soon

The text of a founding agreement to create a joint company with Gazprom for the Banatski Dvor underground storage facility has been finalized, says Srbijagas.
Company CEO Dušan Bajatović said that the agreement for the facility would be signed in the next few days between Srbijagas, Gazprom and the Russian company’s daughter company from Austria.

“Serbia wants Nabucco pipeline too”

Srbijagas CEO Dušan Bajatović says that Serbia would agree to negotiations on the Nabucco pipeline project should such an invitation arrive. “It would not be bad to link up with the Nabucco pipeline as well, even if it isn’t passing through Serbia’s territory, since gas would be arriving from the Caspian Sea and Central Asia via this pipeline,” Bajatović told daily Politika.
