year, promoters have now unveiled initial details of its highly anticipated line-up for the festival’s 13th annual
installment set for Friday, March 25, Saturday, March 26 and Sunday, March 27, 2011 in downtown Miami’s
Bicentennial

Atari Teenage Riot: Tour Dates/New Mp3/New Video

NEW SONG “ACTIVATE” OUT NOW

After reuniting this past Spring, Alec Empire and Nic Endo (aka Atari Teenage Riot) signed on to
Dim Mak. This time they’re joined by ATR newcomer (and Kanye West / Nine Inch Nails collaborator) MC CX
Kidtronik
. They are a natural fit with Dim Mak, as label-head Steve Aoki is known for his hard electro sound
and has roots in the hardcore scene. Check out “Activate!” here.

Atari Teenage Riot is known for their intense live show, and it’s been reinvigorated by the reunion. Check out the

Nation’s Largest Electronic Festival Reveals Full Lineup

Over 200,000 attendees are expected for this year’s Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC),
North America’s largest
electronic
music experience which returns to the Memorial Coliseum & Exposition Park in downtown Los
Angeles Friday, June
25 and Saturday, June 26. Insomniac, the promoter of EDC, has officially unveiled the

Southern California’s EDC is a combination of musical sets by top-tier electronic musicians from around the globe on five stages; large scale art installations by a selection of artists whose works have also shown at Coachella and/or Burning Man; high end light and sound production; carnival rides; and a surreal assortment of performers who create a carnival atmosphere. Last year’s event (its first as a two-day festival since it began in 1996) drew over 135,000 attendees: 45,000 on Friday (June 26, 2009) and 90,000 on Saturday (June 27, 2009), with the latter figure ranking EDC as one of the largest single day attended music festivals in the U.S.

While a full schedule has not been announced yet, there are some bigger names are scheduled:

The South by Southwest (SXSW) Music Conference and Festival, scheduled to take place March 17-21, 2010 in Austin, Texas, is pleased to announce a few of the bands scheduled to perform, artists that are participating on panels and exciting changes at the SXSW Day Stage.

This year’s SXSW Music Conference will feature some notable artists that will be speaking on panels taking place in the Austin Convention Center. Judy Collins shares her thoughts on Where Goes English Folk Music?, John Doe joins Ian Rogers‘ panel The Cultural Significance of Direct-to-Fan Marketing, DJ Spooky encourages the spread of music into established cultural institutions in Performing Arts: New Frontier for Live Acts, Melissa Auf Der Mar exhibits her photographic side on Image Makers Of Rock and Soul, Suzanne Vega kicks MP3 butt on Music Artists: Getting A Digital Ass-Kicking, Andrew WK dissects rock star myths on What Becomes A Legend Most, Chris Walla highlights his studio work on Producers Adapt & Survive, Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth recall early gigs on CBGBs Stories, and Anya Marina talks soundtracks on Case Study: New Moon.

Join these artists and over 350 other speakers for an enlightening look at the past, present and future of the music industry.

The SXSW Day Stage also in the Austin Convention Center, will be partnering with six great radio stations from around the country who will present Day Stage performances on their airwaves. These are KCRW, KEXP, WXPN, The Current, KUT, and Mexico City’s Reactor.

Each station will present a three hour block of music. Highlighting KCRW‘s block on Saturday March 20 will be Rogue Wave, Middle East and Lissie. More artists will be announced soon. SXSW Day Stage performances take place in Ballroom D from 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.

ULTRA MUSIC FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES LINEUP FOR 3/26-27 IN MIAMI

Promoters for the Ultra Music Festival (UMF), the world’s leading two-day electronic and alternative music experience, have unveiled initial details of its highly anticipated lineup for the festival’s 12th annual installment. Set for Friday, March 26 and Saturday, March 27 in downtown Miami as the official closing event of the 25th Anniversary Winter Music Conference, UMF will be the only place to experience a vast number of exclusive artist performances this year.

UMF 2010 boasts headlining appearances from Tiesto Friday, March 26 and Deadmau5 (making his first major festival appearance in 2010) and Groove Armada Saturday, March 27. Boston-based synth-popsters Passion Pit are also set for Ultra as well as Faithless Sound System and the Bloody Beetroots who will both make their U.S. live debut.

Carl Cox returns for the sixth consecutive year with his two-day mega tent; Armin Van Buuren, the world’s #1 DJ per DJ Magazine‘s annual readers poll, The Disco Biscuits, Ghostland Observatory, Bassnectar, Pretty Lights and Lotus will also appear. Additionally, UMF is mashing up dub step and drum & bass to create the very first Dub and Bass arena on the Saturday bill with a who’s who in both genres.
