TV On The Radio’s Dave Sitek Joins Jane’s Addiction

announced that Dave Sitek of TV
On The Radio will fill the revolving-door bass slot for the band’s upcoming album. He replaces Duff
McKagan (Guns N’ Roses, Velvet Revolver), who left in September, and original bassist Eric Avery. A
album of
new material is tentatively scheduled for a Summer 2011 release on Capitol Records.

“Dave, Steve and I are fully immersed in the process of making modern music,” said singer Perry Farrell in
a statement. “It has been a
great experience thus far, and the results have so much potential.”

“This process has been both inspiring and incredibly freeing,” added Dave Navarro. “The events over the
last year
have proven themselves to be a necessary part of the journey as they have led us to our current creative team and
direction.”

Gathering of the Vibes once again convene at Connecticut’s Seaside Park on at July 21-24, 2011.

The 16th annual Gathering of the Vibes kicks off the holidays on ‘Black Tie Dye Friday’ (November 26), when Early Bird and VIP tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Early Bird camping packages will be available for a limited time at $150, a sizeable savings over the gate price, through www.GOVIBES.com. With only 15,000 camping spaces available, these tickets will go fast. RV passes are also available on a first come basis. Travel packages for non-campers include Holiday Inn Bridgeport offering free shuttle service to and from the festival.

A very limited number of VIP packages will be available and include: expedited exclusive entry, rock-star parking, shaded camping area along with catered meals, snacks and beverages. VIPers also have access to private bathrooms and hot showers all weekend long.

The rumor mill is swirling with artist announcements around the corner. The Vibes also warmly embraces new, virtually unknown artists, who may submit music for consideration at www.GOVIBES.com.

“Each year I am amazed at the spirit, the kindness that emanates from the Vibe Tribe,” commented Ken Hays, founder of the Vibes. “Our fans are dedicated, even at a time when concert ticket sales are down across the country, they continue to bring it.”
