Serbia is honored to have been invited to attend the 40th anniversary celebrations of the Libyan revolution, says President Boris Tadić. Tadić said that he would be meeting with Libyan President Moammar Gadaffi during his stay in Tripoli, as well as with other heads of state and government attending the celebrations in the Libyan capital.

Tadić on Serbia’s “four pillars of diplomacy”
President Boris Tadić says that Serbia has four pillars of foreign policy: EU, Russia, U.S. and China. In an interview for Belgrade daily Politika, Tadić said that the principal goal of that policy remains joining the EU, and that “strategic partnerships” with America, Russia and China “are not getting in the way of that goal”.

Ahead of his trip to China this week, President Boris Tadić says that relations between Belgrade and Beijing “are at the highest level in history”. Tadić told FoNet news agency in an interview in Belgrade on Tuesday that this will be made official with the signing of a strategic partnership agreement between the two countries.
Tadić to visit China August 20-25
President Boris Tadić will be on an official visit to the People’s Republic of China August 20-25, it has been announced. On Thursday, August 20, Tadić will confer with Chinese President Hu Jintao, and on Friday, August 21, he will meet with Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao, the presidential press service said.
Tadić on “wave” of crime, terrorism
President Boris Tadić stated that Serbia will face “a new wave of regional organized crime”. “For the first time in our history we are facing trans-continental organized crime in the Western Balkans. Serbia, as this part of the Balkans’ central country, requires an exceptionally prepared police system to face these challenges,” he told the Serbian police (MUP) publication Police Today (Policija Danas).
Tadić ends Armenia visit
Serbia and Armenia agree that conflicts can be solved only through negotiations, said President Boris Tadić today as he wrapped up his visit to Armenia. On the second day of the trip, he met with Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan. The two concluded that there was spirit of full agreement between the two countries that sustainable, compromise solutions for regional conflicts, in the Caucasus just as in the Balkans, can be found only through negotiations, without imposed solutions and use of force.

Tadić proposes Belgrade as next summit host
President Boris Tadić has proposed Belgrade as the host of the Non-Aligned Movement’s 50th anniversary summit in 2011. In an address to the summit, this year taking place in the Egyptian resort of Sharm El-Sheikh, Tadić recalled that the movement had been founded at a conference in Belgrade, and that marking the 50th anniversary in the Serbian capital would be a way of paying tribute to the perspicacity of the organization’s founding fathers.
