An earthquake measuring 7.2 on the Richter scale hit the Mexican peninsula of Baja California Sunday afternoon, the US Geological Survey said.
The depth of the strong quake was reported at at 10 km, Xinhua reported quoting the the USGS.

EU Foreign Policy Chief Catherine Ashton supports Slovenian PM Borut Pahor’s intention to organize an international conference on Western Balkans in March. The Slovenian PM has launched the initiative together with Croatian counterpart Jadranka Kosor and this should be the first meeting of all political leaders from the region after 18 years.
