Boustead wins contract to design, build and lease Hawker Pacific private jet sales and …

Boustead Singapore says it has won a contract of an undisclosed amount to design, build and lease an integrated private jet sales and maintenance, repair and overhaul facility for Hawker Pacific Asia at Seletar Aerospace Park. Expected to be completed in 1Q 2012, the facility has a gross floor area of 9,400 square metres.

Đoković wins Australian Open

Serbia’s Novak Đoković beat Britain’s Andy Murray 6-4 6-2 6-3 to win his second Australian Open title on Sunday.

The third seed won his only previous grand slam title in Melbourne in 2008.

Sound Global wins 18 projects in Hunan

Sound Global says it has won 18 projects from a group of urban-rural waste water treatment plants in Changsha County, Hunan province, China, totalling RMB275 million ($53.5 million) in investments.

The projects include the investment, building, operation and transfer of 16 urban-rural waste water treatment plants (with a total capacity of 29,400 tonnes per day) with a concession period of 30 years.

TTJ wins new projects worth $12m

Structural steel firm TTJ Holdings announced today that it has successfully secured jobs totalling $12 million for a series of structural steel projects in Singapore.

Under the deal, TTJ will provide structural steelwork for infrastructure projects that include, the glass-clad pedestrian link bridges at Orchard Road at the proposed re-development of Specialists’ Centre/Hotel Phoenix, the Scot Project for Shell Eastern Petroleum at Pulau Bukom and for a depot located off Woodlands Road in Downtown Line Stage 2 (DTL2) (Contract 911).

The bulk of these projects are expected to be completed by 2013.

With these extra projects, the group’s order books as at 16 January 2011 rose to $157 million from $145 million as at 29 November 2010.

R H Energy wins $10.1m contract from Inner Mongolia West Gas Corp.

Mainboard-listed R H Energy says it has been awarded with a US$7.9 million ($10.1 million) contract to provide emergency shutdown valve system to be installed along the 492 km gas pipeline from Changqing gas field to Hohhot, Inner Mongolia.

Wang Hairong, Executive Chairman and founder of the group, says, “We are very privileged to work with our customer, Inner Mongolia West Gas Corporation, on this project which is scheduled to be completed and delivered in the second half of 2011. The repeat order is another endorsement of our track record as a premier service provider in the oil and gas industry in the PRC. Including this latest award, we had been awarded a total of US$16.4 million orders by Inner Mongolia West Gas Corporation.”

Samsung C&T wins $257.5m order to build Singapore’s third LNG tank: Update

South Korea’s Samsung C&T Corporation (000830.KS) has won a US$200 million ($257.5 million) contract to build a third storage tank at Singapore’s upcoming liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal, the company said on Friday.

It won the contract from Singapore LNG Corporation (SLNG), and expects to complete the project by early 2014. The additional tank will allow the terminal to handle up to 6 million tonnes per year (tpy).

Samsung C&T wins $257.5m order to build Singapore’s third LNG tank

South Korea’s Samsung C&T Corporation has won a US$200 million ($257.5 million) contract to build a third storage tank at Singapore’s upcoming liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal, the company said on Friday.

It won the contract from Singapore LNG Corporation (SLNG), and expects to complete the project by early 2014. The additional tank will allow the terminal to handle up to 6 million tonnes per year (tpy).

Singapore Technology Engineering, which makes arms and repairs aircraft, said its aerospace business received maintenance orders worth $320 million in the fourth quarter of last year.

Sky China Petroleum Services unit wins $16. …

Sky China Petroleum Services says unit Sky Petroleum Technology Development (Tianjin) Co. has won a RMB 85.28 million ($16.6 million) contract to build a 8,800 dwt vessel to carry refined oil. The vessel be built by Fansun Shipbuilding Co. at Wenzhou, China, and is scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2012. The payment will be satisfied in cash, adds Sky China.

Rotary wins $14.6m EPC deal to build new plant and upgrade existing facilities on Jurong Island

Mainboard-listed Rotary Engineering has secured a $14.6 million Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract to add new facilities to an existing plant on Jurong Island for chemicals company Stepan Asia Pte Ltd.

UOL Group wins bid for site near Paya Lebar MRT station for $313m

UOL Group says it has won a $313 million bid for a freehold site located at the junction at Tanjong Katong Road and Geylang Road near Paya Lebar MRT station.

UOL says the property may be redeveloped as a commercial-cum-residential development.

The acquisition and redevelopment of the property will be financed by bank borrowings and internal resources, it added.

Given its location, UOL says the future redevelopment of the property is expected to benefit from the nearby Paya Lebar Central commercial hub planned by the Urban Redevelopment Authority.

SembMarine wins contracts worth $215m

Sembcorp Marine says subsidiary Sembawang Shipyard has secured a newbuilding and three major upgrading contracts totalling $215 million.

The newbuild contract worth $123 million was awarded by Teekay Shipping (Australia) Pty Ltd for the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPCC) of a dynamically positioned blue water research vessel for Australia. The Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), Australia’s national science agency.

Indo-Sino wins Bangladesh rice deal at US$459.22 per tonne

Singapore-based Indo-Sino Trade Limited has secured a tender to supply 50,000 tonnes of white rice to Bangladesh at US$459.22 ($593.22) a tonne, including C&F liner out, a food official said on Monday. 
 
The state grains importer issued the tender late last month as part of efforts to ensure food security for the country’s more than 150 million people in the wake of rising global food prices.
 
Indo-Sino was the lowest bidder in the tender that opened on Jan. 10, and the rice is to be shipped in 30 days after signing the deal, which will take place this week.

Singapore’s Ezra wins three charters worth $94.1m

Singapore oil services company Ezra Holdings (EZRA.SI) said on Wednesday it had won new charters worth up to US$73 million ($94.1 million) for three of its offshore support vessels.
 
The firm also reported a 28% fall in its first-quarter net profit to US$13.3 million from a year ago, mainly due to a lower share of profits from joint venture and associated companies, as well as higher financial expenses.
 
However, Ezra’s revenue for the three months ended Nov 30 last year grew 25 percent year-on-year to US$75.9 million, spurred by increased contributions from its deepwater subsea and marine services divisions.

Hyundai Engineering wins $453m order from Singapore

Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co. said it received an order from Asia Square Tower 2 Pte to build an office building in Singapore’s Marina Bay area for about US$350 million ($453 million). Construction is expected to be completed in 2013, the South Korean company said today in an e-mailed statement.
