Apple iPad Banned at Yankee Stadium

Apple’s iPad may be designed to go anywhere, but there’s one place its definitely not allowed: Yankee Stadium, which apparently banned the device out of nebulous "safety and security issues," according to reports. This is ironic considering that Yankee Stadium has a reputation of being particularly tech-friendly, with WiFi and even computer screens on players’ lockers. Despite its popularity, the iPad has run into the occasional issue with regulators since its release, including Israeli authorities concerned about the devices WiFi strength. – Apple touts its iPad as the sort of device you can take

YANKEE STADIUM AND COMERICA PARK GET A DOUBLE DOSE

Jay-Z and Eminem will perform two co-headlining concerts in September. The first takes place September 2 at Comerica Park in Detroit. The second happens September 13 at New York City’s Yankee Stadium. Each artist will close the show in their respective hometown.

“These shows are like a dream come true,” Jay-Z said. “I’ve always hoped that hip-hop could play any stadium like other genres of music. How perfect is it that Eminem and I get to play our hometowns and show how far the live rap experience has come? Fun and historic, a great combination all around the board.”


“This is a once in a lifetime set of shows and I know we’re both really going to bring it to our home towns,” Eminem said. “The fans are going to love this – and so am I. It’s gonna be historic.”
