A fire broke out in the Kragujevac-based Zastava factory in the area of the factory in which the Fiat Punto is assembled. Company officials stated that the fire has been localized.

Production of the Fiat Punto with a 1.3 liter diesel engine has begun today in Kragujevac’s Zastava factory. Fiat will make two versions of this model—the “Dynamic†and the “Emotionâ€.
